Our Health Insurance Plans

Elmo Health Insurance plans offer different levels of cover to Maltese residents under the age of 60.

Some plans offer an in-patient cash benefit for local state or private hospitalisation for an accidental bodily injury or illness which exceeds a 24 hours in-patient stay. 

You could also benefit from a  limited refund plan for eligible treatment received in Malta for in-patient and out-patient treatment. 

Hospital Plan and Hospital Plan Plus

These plans provide a full refund for all eligible customary and reasonable fees for in-patient and day-patient treatment received in Malta. 

International Plan

Your level of cover could enable you to seek treatment worldwide, excluding USA and Canada.

Resident/Work Permit and Student Visa Health Insurance 

Upon applying for residency in Malta, you will be requested to purchase health insurance. At Elmo we have designed specific Health Insurance Plans at a very competitave rate for non-Maltese residents. We cover treatment of an unexpected disease, illness or injury  

Health Insurance can pay for quick diagnosis, such as MRI scans and prompt treatment of acute illness or injury. The management of any long term medical conditions are generally not covered.
