- Give priority to your safety
- Take reasonable steps to limit further damages and to secure your property
- Take photos of all damages
- Do not dispose of any damaged items
- Only discuss accident/loss details with the police or your insurance company.
- Contact your insurer as soon as possible for guidance.
- Dial the Emergency number: 112
- In case of theft never enter the house alone, do not touch anything and wait for the police to arrive.
- Immediately forward to us any legal letters/documents in connection with any claims relating to legal liability for any injuries and damages to third parties.
- It is important that you do not answer legal letters.
- Elmo Insurance may require having the property surveyed.
Submit your Home Insurance Claim Online
Step 1. Notification
It is important that you advise us of the accident, as soon as possible by:
- By contacting us on 2343 0000
- Or by visiting one of our offices.
- Letting us know in writing on generalclaims@elmoinsurance.com within seven days of the incident occurring.
Step 2. Home Insurance Claim Form and Documentation
- Download claim form. Please make sure you, sign and fully complete all sections.
- Print copies of photos or other evidence to help you prove your loss or damage.
- Attach any other document (police report etc.)
Step 3. Original Documentation
Original claim form and other documentation will need to be forwarded by post to:

or by hand to one of our branch offices.
Alternatively, you may scan all documentation and forward it by email on generalclaims@elmoinsurance.com
